The replays and sectional times have been reviewed from Saturday’s Rosehill meeting. Our analyst has found a Lees 3yo that is showing great early speed and a breakout star that’s one to watch for the spring.

Tasoraay

The lightly raced Lees 3yo put on a brave display setting a strong tempo and kicking clear at the top of the straight. The run didn’t seem to take its’ toll as he continued to find the line and even seemed to pick up the final 100m. He was only run down late to finish 0.4L 2nd to Don’t Forget Jack with a 0.8L gap back to 3rd. They ran 1.3s quicker than the 2yo and Highway run earlier, which is quite significant.

War Machine

The Hayes 4yo couldn’t of been more impressive taking out the G1 Stradbroke by 0.7L at Eagle Farm. He looks to have breakout star written all over him. All eyes will be on what race he is set to target in the spring. The G1 Sir Rupert Clarke into the G1 Toorak looks like the ideal next step.
