Best Of The Best – Rosehill 29th of October
October 29, 2022
The Golden Eagle heads a great day of racing at Rosehill. Track is rated a Good 4 and the rail is in the true position. Our tipper likes a couple throughout the card.
Rosehill R5 9. Mars Mission
Gelded this prep. Trialled brilliantly for return then ran time when first-up at Warwick and taken back from the wide gate. Draws well here and will appreciate the drier track.

Rosehill R7 2. Private Eye
He’s flying and gets a race to suit. 2nd in the Everest on his unpreferred slow track. Back to a drying track out to 1300m third-up. Has some super 1300m runs in the past. Map is tricky but price is attractive enough.

Rosehill R8 12. Light Infantry
Has some excellent overseas form with two G1 second placings from his last 2. Form has been franked with the 3rd horse coming out and winning a G2. Maps perfectly for this coming across to sit just in behind the speed, similar map to last years winner I’m Thunderstruck.

Warwick Farm Race 7 – Promise of Success
- Trainer: J O’Shea
- Jockey: T Berry
- Barrier: 1
We are quite excited about this European import! After an impressive showing at the trials she was dominant in her Australian debut where she settled last and widest in the field only to blow them away up the straight.
Bad luck from the inside gate looks like the biggest concern so it will be interesting to see if connections opt to be more positive from the gates. Tommy Berry jumps off the other last start winner Ibaraki, who is solid in the market, to ride Promise of Success. She looks like she is destined for bigger things.
