Best Of The Best: Our Wednesday Specials Wednesday – Warwick Farm 8/12

Last week Rule of Law saluted to give us 5 winners from our last 7 bets over the last 3 weeks of midweek racing at Sydney. This week I’ve picked out a freshened Waller runner and a Godolphin mare that looks a class above a weak field.

Warwick Farm Race 3 – Solar Apex

  • Trainer: C Waller
  • Jockey: T Sherry
  • Barrier: 3

The Waller camp have freshened this rising 4yo after being the competitive but missing the mark in 3 runs over 2000m. He comes back to a mile and this is much much easier than what he faced in those end of carnival races in Saturday grade. The claim of Tom Sherry will help and you have to back the master trainer bringing this guy back to 1600m where he has defeated classy horses like Shibli a few starts back.

Tip: 2 Units Win Solar Apex @$2.9 with TopSport

Warwick Farm Race 7 – Quatenus

  • Trainer: J Cummings
  • Jockey: K McEvoy
  • Barrier: 12

Quatenus is a progressive 4yo from the Cummings yard that has begun her 3 start career with 2 wins and a 2nd. She was dominant putting away a Class 1 field at Hawkesbury last start. This doesn’t look like an overly strong fBM 72 field however, the gate and map looks a slight concern. From gate 12 McEvoy will be hoping to not not have to go too far back and been in firing range at the top of the straight.

Tip: 2 Units Win Quatenus @$4.2
