Best Of The Best – Our 3 Best Bets For This Saturday 20/11

Sydney racing heads to Kembla for their biggest race of the year; The Gong. I’ve found a local hope that has superior form and a great each way bet for the first ever running of The Warra.

Kembla Race 7 – Isaurian

A hot little field for the inaugural running of the Warra over 1000m. Godolphin runner Isaurian brings strong form from the Melbourne carnival with a 3rd in the G2 Linglithgow at Flemington and 4th a in the Schillaci. The Exceed and Excel gelding is undefeated over 1000m. The Godolphin yard doesn’t make a habit of leaving spots for 7yos in their stable unless they’re flying.

Malkovich is all the rage in the betting but I think he is worth risking. I’ve been stung a couple of times earlier in his career due to him being weak late and I expect there to be a lot of pressure on him up front. If the expected rain comes, Malkovich is going to be a huge drift which means we may be sitting on a golden egg for the price currently being offered for Isaurian.

Isaurian will need a peach from Bowman to get over behind the speed from a wide gate but it won’t be too much of a worry being 3 wide over this short course. Great each way bet.

Kembla Race 8 – Count De Rupee

It would be great to see a local horse win the Gong and they look to have the horse to do it in Count De Rupee. He looked the winner in The Golden Eagle last start only to be run down in the final strides by Melbourne raider I’m Thunderstruck. That form will hold up here and if he gets a touch of luck from gate 17 he will have the local crowd roaring.

Tip: 2 Units Win Count De Rupee @$4.2 withTopSport.com.au

Kembla Race 10 – Blesk

Blesk looks to be the most talented horse in the final race of the day and I’m just pinning my hopes on the geldings ability to settle a little more handy in a race that lacks speed on paper. He hasn’t finished worse than 2nd in 3 runs this prep and comes here after charging home to finish 2nd in this grade at Rosehill. Oxford Tycoon is the only go forward horse in the race but with that being said I’m hoping it will allow Berry to settle a little more handy on Blesk.

Tip: 1 Unit Win Blesk @$3.8 withTopSport
