Best Of The Best – Our 3 Best Bets For This Saturday 14/8

City racing heads to Kembla this Saturday in order to preserve the Randwick track for the upcoming Sydney carnival. A pair of lightly raced James Cummings runners and a speedy 4yo stepping down in grade are the 3 best betsĀ  to look out for.

Kembla Race 2 –Ā  Mamaragan

This John Thompson trained gelding has been flying at the trials and looks well placed at the weights in this BM 88. Last preparation he was freshened after finishing only 5L behind September Run in the G1 Coolmore Stud and came back to Sydney where he was disappointing in the Fireball.

This is a big step down in grade and looks great value at $5.5

Tip: 2 Units Win Mamaragan @$5.5 With TopSport

Kembla Race 3 – Ziegfeld

Ziegfeld is a lightly raced European import from the Godolphin yard that looks to get out to an ideal distance here. He was great last start in the Listed Winter Challenge over 1500m at Rosehill when he finished 2nd behind Order Again. J Mac jumps aboard and looks to be the bet of the day.

Tip: 3 Units Win Ziegfeld @$2.6 With TopSport

Kembla Race 4 – Bacchanalia

Another lightly raced James Cummings runner who gets a big advantage at the weights here. The Exceed and Excel colt certainly doesn’t have the race experience or form of the likes of Rustic Steel or King of Sparta but he will meet those horses at least 3kg better off at the weights.

He was solid when finishing 5th in the G3 Black Opal at Canberra to round out his 2yo season and returned to the trials in fine fashion when finishing 2nd under a strong hold at Hawkesbury.

Tip: 2 Units Win Bacchanalia @$4.6 With TopSport
