Think this race sets up really nicely for Special View. Finds a map where there
is no other genuine speed influences engaged, and Pateman should be able to
plonk him out in front (and in the breeze at worst if Smart Princess boots up)
and dictate terms. The trial was really solid and in good time on rain-affected
surface, he’s come back well and if Pateman can steal some cheapies mid-race, I
think he looks really hard to run down.

Gunmetal Grey

Won’t be losing on Gunmetal Grey. Particularly liked the quiet trial in the
lead-up to this fresh assignment. Her form around Graceful Girl, Hot Zed and
Nobel Laurence, and her performances in these races, was super, especially in
comparison to a race of this nature. The main query for me is the map, which
looks a little sticky from 8 for Harvey, concerns me where she may get to in the
run. On the contrary, she seemed to get through the soft going in her trial
really easily and her performances from last prep are impossible to go past in a
race of this depth.
