Just wanted to assess the track pattern before making him a play but pretty keen this guy runs a big race 1st up today in what isn’t the strongest of fields. 1st up last prep ran a big race behind Dew West when running on and put in some good performances further on in much stronger races than this. Finds a suitable set-up here with plenty of speed engaged and from a very economic draw should be able to position up midfield or just worse and be launching at them late down the middle of the track which thus far looks to be playing rather well. The each-way price is definitely worth having a flutter at with the Pontiff engaged.

Just think this could be a case of better than these? Solaia comes from probably the form stable of the state at the moment. Loved the trial behind Laverrod leading into the first up run where she just got a bit too far off them over the shorter course, rattled home and finished on the heels of Snippy Miss who ran some big races against much stronger company than this last prep. Will get back again here from the wide draw but the rise to 1200m 2nd up is a huge tick. Ran some big races behind some extremely talented 2yo types in her debut prep and if Jade can find her a toe into it on the corner she might just prove too good for these with the light weight.
