Midweek card at Ascot that includes some really nice races, particularly race 1 which is a Saturday metro level race quite easily for the 3YOs. The rail goes out the 13m and the south westerlys should allow horses from the off the pace the chance to run on down the middle of the track, prior track data suggests.

Just think this looks a really nice, relatively weak CL1 race 2nd up for this Martin Allan galloper. 1st up over the shorter 1200 here, was really bolting for a run on straightening when not able to find room 3 back the fence, found a gap, looked like she was going to explode but was completely squeezed when laid in on by a slowing 100/1 pop at the 200, before picking up and really motoring again through the line to miss in a photo. All the form out of her last prep reads really solidly for a race of this nature, and if Mitch can get her in that moving line from the draw with a smother, I can’t see them holding her out late.

Regal Dividend is the danger if they let Laqdar walk to the top and crawl them along without pressure, although this looks a race where I can see something else rolling forward and making it honestly run, given most of these are no chance if they take a sit.
