Glorious day for racing at Ascot after a couple of gloomy days in succession with a very competitive card to boot. Track currently a soft 5 but should dry out to potentially even a Good 4 by the time race 1 rolls around with the current conditions.

Ruthless Tycoon
Not usually one to dive into the juveniles but I have just been so taken by this son of Written Tycoon and what he’s produced at the trials thus far. Really strong, fluent action and looked to be doing it so easily out in front at his most recent hitout, when they loomed up to him approaching the 200m and under light riding strode away powerfully through the line. If Parnham can find the top from gate 6 here with some moderate tactical speed drawn underneath, I think it could be lights out for the rest of them, very keen at the price.
