AFL: Port Adelaide Rolling Along In Style
June 21, 2023
PORT Adelaide keeping its winning streak going was the highlight of the 14th Round of the AFL season as they had little trouble dealing with the Cats.
Port Adelaide have now won eleven matches in a row and they have strengths all over the ground and have the confidence to defeat any team.
They are likely to finish in the top two and host a home final.
Port Adelaide are $4.20 second favourite to win the AFL flag behind Collingwood at $3.75 with TopSport.
The other team which attracted attention was Richmond after the made it three wins on the trot after they defeated St Kilda at the MCG in an entertaining game which was played for the last three quarters in teeming rain.
The Tigers are playing in similar fashion to when they won their 2017, 2019 and 2020 premierships. For the first time in ages Nick Vlaustin and Dylan Grimes aren’t injured and that is making a big difference. Their backline also contains Noah Balta, Nathan Broad, Daniel Rioli, Jayden Short and promising youngster Tylar Young.
Add in the likes of Dustin Martin, gun recruit Tim Taranto and Shai Bolton it’s a powerful team.
They firmed from $41 into $29 after their win against the Saints.
Carlton also freed themselves from the shackles of their recent form with a brilliant nine goal quarter giving Blues supporters hope they are back on the right track.
The Blues are $71 to win the flag.
