Key Off Season Acquisitions

The Eagles acquired three notable players in free agency. They were linebacker Bryce Huff, running back Saquon Barkley, and safety Chauncey Gardner-Johnson.

Huff of Mobile, Alabama signed a three-year deal worth $51.1 million with the Eagles. He spent the last four years with the New York Jets. In 2023, Huff had 29 combined tackles (19 solo tackles and 10 assisted tackles), 10 tackles for a loss, 21 quarterback hits, 10 sacks and one pass deflection. He signed a three-year deal worth $27 million. In 2023, Gardner-Johnson had 17 combined tackles (16 solo tackles and one assisted tackle), three pass deflections and one interception. The interception came in a 30-20 Lions win over the Minnesota Vikings on January 7.

The Eagles also acquired wide receiver Jahan Dotson of Newark, New Jersey from the Washington Commanders, and quarterback Kenny Pickett of Oakhurst, New Jersey from the Pittsburgh Steelers. Dotson was traded with a fifth round pick in the 2025 National Football League Draft for a third round pick and two seventh round picks in the 2025 NFL Draft.
