2024 NFL Week 1 Preview: Our Expert Tips & Staking Plan

We are back! The new NFL season is underway and we are back with our expert tips that have hopefully served you well in the past.

I will likely be adding some more picks before the games so make sure to check back.

Tennessee Titans @ Chicago Bears

We finally get to see Caleb Williams in action in the NFL. The number one overall pick comes into one of the best offences we have ever seen for a rookie – particularly the first pick. He can hit the ground running and immediately turn the Bears into a playoff contending team.

The Titans look a long way short though. I am not a believer in Will Levis, and while he has some weapons, they all have their own question marks, mainly down to age.

I like the Bears defence to really strangle the Titans and ease the pressure on their young quarterback.

New England Patriots @ Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals could be without their top two receiving options. Tee Higgins is already out, and Ja’Marr Chase who was already questionable has now been listed with illness. It could be a rough day for the Bengals, even with a now fully fit Joe Burrow ready to go.

The Patriots have eased the pressure on rookie Drake Maye by letting Jacoby Brissett start the season. He should have enough to keep this one close for New England, and maybe even snatch a win for new head coach Jerod Mayo.

Miami Dolphins @ Jacksonville Jaguars

The Dolphins are a team that often start a season hot. Mike McDanile has had the whole offseason to cook up something for his offence and expect him to show it off here. Tyreek Hill could be in for another big game.

The Jaguars have something to prove this year. Since Trevor Lawrence and Doug Pederson have been in Jacksonville it just has not ever really clicked. There have been a few high points, but not enough. I just do not believe they have the answers and Miami is a tough place to try and find out if they do.

Minnesota Vikings @ New York Giants

It is a new look for the Vikings with Kirk Cousins out the door and Sam Darnold in. I think he wil eventually be fine, but right now he is without TJ Hockensen and Jordan Addison is looking unlikely to be 100%, if he plays at all.

The Giants offence got a big boost in drafting Malik Nabers. Whether it is enough is another question but I believe they will start the season with a home win, even as underdogs.
