UFC 232
Despite Jon Jones’ drug test results again jeopardising a UFC event, UFC 232 will go ahead in California instead of Nevada this weekend.
Originally booked for the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, the event will now take place at The Forum in Los Angeles, due to the Nevada State Athletic Commission refusing to license Jones, with the banned steroid Turinabol again found in his system.
Fans of Jones will be hoping he returns with a trademark G.O.A.T.-like performance in his rematch with Alexander Gustafsson.
Gustafsson fans, and those that simply hate Jones, will be hoping to see the Swedish fighter hand ‘Bones’ his first defeat (besides a DQ).
The first fight between the two was one for the ages, and each set of fans will be wanting the rematch to live up to expectations.
Also on the card is Amanda Nunes vs Cris Cyborg for the women’s featherweight belt.
Nunes, the champion of the women’s bantamweight division, steps up a weight class to take on the formidable Cyborg.

Liverpool vs Arsenal
Speaking of formidable tasks, Arsenal have the joy of travelling to Anfield to take on Liverpool this weekend.
The first meeting between the two ended in a 1-1 draw.
However, Liverpool are in red-hot form now, and leading the league.
The Reds have won each of their last seven games in all competitions, including a 4-0 thumping of Newcastle in their last outing.
The first meeting between the pair this season was actually the last game in the EPL that Liverpool didn’t get all three points.
Arsenal, on the other hand, have only got one win in their last four matches.
Regardless, the match-up will be one worth watching!
–
Hurricanes vs Thunder
The Big Bash League has been providing entertainment in each match so far this season.
Tonight’s contest will be no different, with the Hobart Hurricanes coming up against the Sydney Thunder.
Both teams have won both of their opening games.
The Thunder sit in first place, while the Hurricanes are in third.
Tasmania will be treated to the live event which will take place at Blundstone Arena.
Joe Root will be hoping for a better performance in his second BBL outing, after only scoring nine runs in his first game.
–
Australia vs India
The third test match between Australia and India continues over the weekend.
India are in a commanding position after declaring for 7/443.
Australia have already lost a number of wickets on the third day of play.
The MCG pitch was lifeless during the visitors first innings, providing a lack of bounce, which proved frustrating for Australia’s bowlers.
The Indian bowlers have looked much better against the Aussie batters, with Bumrah being especially impressive.
Australia will be hoping for a solid partnership to form today, or risk facing the rare prospect of being forced to follow on.
