Warwick Farm Best Selection & Value Play 2/4
April 2, 2025

Midweek Sydney racing heads to Warwick Farm. Our analyst has selected a proven wet tracker that was a dominant winner last start and a Waller filly dropping back from stakes company as the value play.
Best Selection: R5- Mawjood
Mawjood’s form stands out in what’s a fairly average midweek race. He’s been ultra consistent in 6 runs this prep recording 2 placings before a dominant 1.1L win over this trip at Kensington last start. The only time he has disappointed was when he pulled up with cardiac arrhythmia at Canterbury 4 starts back. He gets a great map settling in behind the speed, which gives him the opportunity to put the field away a long way out like he did last start.

Value Selection: R8- Good Sort
Good Sort looks over the odds. The Waller team obviously have a high opinion of her after sending her to Flemington for a G3 race over the spring. She ran on nicely for 3rd over this track/distance 1st up before finishing 4.4L 10th in the Listed Kembla Grange Classic. She should be peaking here 3rd up and gets plenty of tempo on.
