Warriors and Mavericks combine for NBA record 48 three-point shots made in one game

National Basketball Association history was made on Sunday. The Golden State Warriors and Dallas Mavericks combined to make 48 three point shots. That is the most number of three point shots made by both teams in one game according to nba.com. The Warriors made 27 three point shots and the Mavericks made 21 three point shots. However, it was Dallas who came out on top 143-133.
Stephen Curry of Akron, Ohio, the NBA all-time leader in three point shots made with 3832, had the most three point shots made for the Warriors with seven. The other six Warriors with a three point shot made were Canadian forward Andrew Wiggins of Toronto, Ontario (five), forward Draymond Green of Saginaw, Michigan (five), shooting guard Lindy Watters III of Norman, Oklahoma (four), shooting guard Buddy Hield of Freeport, Bahamas (three), forward Jonathan Kuminga of Goma, Democratic Republic of the Congo (two), and shooting guard Brandon Prodziemski of Greenfield, Wisconsin (one).
Former Warrior star Klay Thompson of Los Angeles, California led the Mavericks with seven three pointers. Guard Luka Doncic of Ljubljana, Slovenia had six three pointers, shooting guard Quentin Grimes of Houston, Texas had four three pointers, power forward P.J. Washington of Louisville, Kentucky had two three pointers, guard Kyrie Irving of Melbourne, Australia had one three pointers, and Canadian Olivier-Maxence Prosper of Montreal, Quebec had one three pointer as well.
The previous record was 44 three-point shots made. They happened in a 176-175 Sacramento Kings overtime win over the Los Angeles Clippers on February 23, 2023, and in a 134-126 Phoenix Suns win over the Utah Jazz on Friday.
With the win on Sunday, the Mavericks improved to a record of 17 wins and nine losses. They are tied with the Houston Rockets for third place in the Western Conference.
