Vince Carter and Tracy McGrady become part owners of the Buffalo Bills

According to Rob Maddi of the Associated Press on Wednesday, two former Toronto Raptors are joining the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League as minority owners. They are Hall of Famer Vince Carter of Daytona Beach, Florida and Tracy McGrady of Bartow, Florida.
Carter played 22 NBA seasons from 1998 to 2020 with the Toronto Raptors, New Jersey Nets, Dallas Mavericks, Memphis Grizzlies, Atlanta Hawks, Orlando Magic, Sacramento Kings, and Phoenix Suns. He averaged 16.7 points per game, 4.3 rebounds per game, 3.1 assists per game, one steal per game, and had a field goal percentage of .435, three-point percentage of .371, and a free throw percentage of .798. Carter was with the Raptors from 1998 to 2004. He was an All-Star for five seasons for Toronto and won the 1998-99 NBA Rookie of the Year as a Raptor.
McGrady played 15 seasons from 1997 to 2012 with the Raptors, Magic, Houston Rockets, New York Knicks, Detroit Pistons, and Hawks. He averaged 19.6 points per game, 5.6 assists per game, 4.4 assists per game, and 1.2 steals per game. McGrady also has a field goal goal percentage of .435, three point percentage of .338 and a free throw percentage of .706. McGrady was the Raptors’s first round pick (ninth overall) in the 1997 NBA Draft, and played three seasons in Toronto through to 2000.
Joining McGrady and Carter as minority owners is former Toronto FC soccer player Jozy Altidore. The former striker is also known in the sports world as being the husband of American tennis star Sloane Stephens of Plantation, Florida.
This is the first time in franchise history that the Bills organization have minority owners. The majority owners of Kim and Terry Pegula are the parents of tennis star Jessica Pegula.
