Trial Review: Horses That Caught The Eye At The Trials This Week 31/10

There were 18 trials at Warwick Farm on Friday morning. Check out all the runners that our analyst has black booked and look ready to perform in the short term.

Trenino Rosso

The un-raced Robert Quinn 3yo looks loaded with ability after landing back-to-back Warwick Farm trial wins. The latest came by 4.2L after going straight to the front and scooting along at a solid clip and cruising away under minimal riding. He was eased down the final 50m and the 1.12.83 time was 0.38s quicker than Winter Challenge winner Robusto’s in the opener. I’d love to see him land in a Warwick Farm maiden on his home track 1st up.

Sword of Legacy

The newly acquired Too Darn Hot filly to the Waller stable looks one to look out for in the Sydney midweek maidens. She settled back in the field for her 815m trial and skirted widest after turning before flashing home to finish 0.8L 2nd in a real eye-catcher. It was a bunched finish, which is always a question mark but being a 2x black type runner up in Melbourne, she is one I want to keep a close eye on.
