Trial Review: Horses That Caught The Eye At The Trials This Week 24/2

A small set of ten trials at Rosehill this week. Click below to view the runners that have entered our black book.

Globe

The G1 Caulfield Stakes winner looks to have returned in outstanding order on the back of his 0.1L Rosehill trial win over 1030m. He jumped fair before working around the outside of the field to take up the lead. He was strong the whole way up the straight holding off Grand Prairie. He will no doubt be best over 1600-2000m so it may pay to watch 1st and even 2nd up but there looks to be a big race in him.

Idle Flyer

The Matt Smith mare exploded onto the scene during the spring working through the BM grades before winning the G3 Angst over a mile at Randwick. She settled well back in her 1030m Rosehill trial before making terrific late ground to finish 1.5L 3rd to Hidden Motive. Her potential 1st up targets are likely be the G3 Wenona Girl over 1200m or G3 Aspiration over a mile at Randwick on March 7.

Paradoxium

The Wyong Magic Millions winner earmarked himself as a real Slipper contender with a dominant 4.3L trial win. He pinged the gates and found the front with ease and extended on his rivals the whole way up the straight. The clock backed up the eye recording the fastest 2yo trial of the morning.
