We are now 14 weeks into the 2022 National Football League regular season. Here are the top headlines from the week that was.
5) Carolina Panthers can still win the NFC South
Despite only having a record of five wins and eight losses, the Panthers can still win the NFC South with four straight wins. On Sunday, they defeated the Seattle Seahawks 30-24. A major reason for the Panthers success was their rush defense as Seattle was only limited to 46 yards rushing.
4) Bills defense instrumental in success.
For the second straight week, the Buffalo Bills limited an AFC East opponent to under 20 points. Ten days after the Bills beat the New England Patriots 24-10, they beat the New York Jets 20-12. The Bills limited the Jets to 76 rushing yards. Buffalo currently leads the AFC East with a record of 10 wins and three losses, tied with the Kansas City Chiefs for the best record in the conference.

Many expected the Cowboys to sign Odell Beckham Jr. this month. Instead, they have settled on T.Y. Hilton. The four-time Pro Bowler played a decade with the Indianapolis Colts from 2012 to 2021, and led the NFL in receiving yards in 2016 with 1448.

2) Joe Burrow beats the Browns for the first time.
Joe Burrow accomplished something he has never done before on Sunday. That was beat the Cleveland Browns. In a 23-10 Cincinnati win, Burrow completed 18 of 33 passes for 239 yards and two touchdowns, along with 10 rushing yards. After a sluggish start to the season, the Bengals are now winners of five straight and lead the AFC North alongside the Baltimore Ravens at nine wins and four losses.

The Philadelphia Eagles are the best in the NFL at 12 wins and one loss. On Sunday, Jalen Hurts made NFL history. The Eagles star quarterback became the first quarterback ever to have back-to-back seasons with 10 rushing touchdowns as the Eagles beat the New York Giants 48-22.
