Top five rookies from Week 9 of the 2024 NFL season

The National Football League is nine weeks complete. Here are the top five rookies from week nine on winning teams. This year we are including kickers.
5) Joshua Karty
The rookie kicker from Burlington, North Carolina made field goals from 21 and 38 yards as the Los Angeles Rams beat the Seattle Seahawks 26-20 in overtime. Karty also made two converts and was used by the Rams for kickoffs for the first time in his career. He had six kickoffs for 391 yards, and five touchbacks.
4) Xavier Legette
The Carolina Panthers wide receiver from Mullins, South Carolina had a touchdown catch for the fourth time in six games on Sunday. The product from the University of South Carolina Gamecocks had four catches for 33 receiving yards and a three-yard touchdown catch in a 23-22 Panthers win over the New Orleans Saints. This was only Carolina’s second win all year and led to a New Orleans coaching change.
3) Â Trey Benson
The Florida State product from Greenville, Mississippi scored his first career NFL touchdown on Sunday in a 29-9 Arizona Cardinals win over the Chicago Bears. It was a one-yard run with three minutes and 14 seconds left in the first half, and put the Cardinals up 14-6. Benson had eight rushes for 37 rushing yards and one catch for 18 yards. In all, Cardinals running backs generated 254 total yards. With the win, Arizona improved to a record of five wins and four losses, and remarkably find themselves in first place in the NFC West.
2) Ray Davis
The rookie running back from San Francisco, California was a contributor for the Buffalo Bills in their 37-20 win over the Miami Dolphins. Davis only had four rushes for 20 rushing yards, but had two catches for 70 yards and one touchdown. The major score was a 63 yard catch from Josh Allen, and put the Bills up 20-13 at the time.
1) Jayden Daniels
The rookie quarterback from Fontana, California continues to sizzle in the American capital. The second overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft completed 15 of 22 passes for 209 passing yards and two touchdowns, along with eight rushes for 35 rushing yards in a 27-22 Washington Commanders win over the New York Giants. Both passing touchdowns went to Terry McLaurin of Indianapolis, Indiana. With the win, the Commanders remain first in the NFC East at seven wins and two losses.
