Top five rookies from Week 17 of the 2022 NFL season

We now know that Week 17 of the National Football League regular season is in the books with the decision by the NFL being made on Friday that the Cincinnati Bengals and Buffalo Bills will not be played. Here are the top five offensive rookies from winning teams of the week.

5) Tyquan Thornton–New England Patriots–

The native of Miami, Florida caught three passes for 60 yards and a touchdown on Sunday in a 23-21 Patriots win over the Miami Dolphins. With the win, the Patriots are now in second place in the AFC East and can clinch a playoff spot with a win over the Buffalo Bills.

4) Kenny Pickett–Pittsburgh Steelers–

The Steelers rookie quarterback completed 15 of 27 passes for 168 yards and had one touchdown pass, along with two rushing yards in a 16-13 Pittsburgh win over the Baltimore Ravens. With the win, the Steelers can still clinch a playoff spot in the AFC.

3) Kenneth Walker III–Seattle Seahawks–

The Seahawks rookie running back had 23 rushes for 133 yards and one touchdown along with one catch for nine yards as Seattle trounced the New York Jets 23-6. With the win, the Seahawks can still clinch a playoff spot in the NFC.

2) Tyler Allgeier–Atlanta Falcons–

The Cardinals rookie running back from BYU had 20 rushes for 83 yards and one touchdown in a narrow 20-19 Atlanta win over the Arizona Cardinals. Allgeier also had one catch for 12 yards.

1) Brock Purdy–San Francisco 49ers–

The 7th round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft completed 22 of 35 passes for 284 yards and two touchdowns in a 37-34 49ers win over the Las Vegas Raiders. San Francisco is now at 12 wins and four losses and have already won the NFC West.
