Top five rookies from Week 14 of 2024 NFL season

The National Football League is 14 weeks complete. Here are the top five rookies from week 14 on winning teams. This year we are including kickers.

5) Joshua Karty

The Los Angeles Rams starting kicker from Burlington, North Carolina was involved in the extremely high scoring game between the Los Angeles Rams and Buffalo Bills on Sunday. Karty did not have to do much as he made five converts and a chip shot 22 yard field goal in a 44-42 Rams win.

4) Brian Thomas Jr.

The Jacksonville Jaguars rookie from Walker, Louisiana had eight catches for 86 receiving yards in a 10-6 Jaguars win over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. Thomas was the Jaguars’s first round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft out of Louisiana State University. With the win, the Jaguars are now longer in the basement by themselves in the AFC South.

3) Jake Bates

The Detroit Lions rookie kicker from Tomball, Texas made field goals from 35 and 43 yards and four converts in a 34-31 Detroit win over the Green Bay Packers. The 35 yard field goal was on the final play of the game and gave the Lions the three point win. With the victory, the Lions won their 11th straight game and set a franchise record for the longest winning streak in franchise history. 

2) Jalen McMillan

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver from Fresno, California had a breakout performance against the Las Vegas Raiders in a 28-13 win. McMillan had four catches for a career-high 59 receiving yards and two touchdowns. McMillan’s touchdown catches from Baker Mayfield were for 15 and 29 yards to open and close the scoring, and improved the Buccaneers to 7-6.

1) Isaac Guerendo

The San Francisco 49ers clobbered the Chicago Bears 38-13 on Sunday and a major reason was because of the play of rookie running back Isaac Guerendo of Clayton, Indiana before he left the game in the fourth quarter with a foot sprain. Before the injury, Guerendo was masterful as the native of Indianapolis had 15 rushes for 78 rushing yards and two touchdowns and two catches for 50 yards.
