Tom Kim of Seoul, South Korea has won the 2026 Scottish Open. Kim shot a four round score of -17 and beat Australia’s Min Woo Lee of Perth, Australia by two strokes at the Renaissance Club in North Berwick, Scotland.
Kim had a first round score of five-under-par 65, a second round score of four-under-par 66, a third round score of two-under-par 68, and a fourth round score of six-under-par 64. In winning the Scottish Open, Kim won 1.38 million pounds.
Kim’s most notable hole came on the par-five seventh hole in round two. There he posted the only eagle he had in the tournament. Kim had a tee shot of 345 yards, an approach shot of 226 yards, and an eagle putt of 39 feet and three inches. What was gobsmacking about Kim’s performance here is the fact he eagled a hole that was 586 yards in total length.
The win at the Scottish Open came only four days before the 2026 British Open is set to begin. After winning the Scottish Open, Kim’s odds of winning the British Open are now at +5000, the same odds that Bryson DeChambeau have of winning.
Kim has now won four PGA Tour events. He previously won the 2022 Wyndham Championship, and the 2022 and 2023 Shriners Children’s Open. No South Korean man has won on the PGA Tour since Kim was victorious three years ago.
This past weekend was a sensational weekend in South Korean golf. That is because Hae-ran Ryu of Geumjeong-myeon won the 2026 Evian Championship in France for her second major title in a month.
