Titans sign cornerback Johnathan Joseph from the Texans

According to the Associated Press, the Tennessee Titans signed cornerback Johnathan Joseph of Rock Hill, South Carolina from the Houston Texans on Wednesday to a one-year contract. The financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Joseph has spent 14 seasons in the National Football League. He was with the Cincinnati Bengals from 2006 to 2010, and with the Texans from 2011 to 2019.
Last season in Houston, Joseph had one interception, 13 pass deflections, and 51 combined tackles (43 solo tackles and eight assisted tackles). The interception was Joseph’s 31st of his career. It came in a 23-20 Texans win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on December 21, 2019.
Over 14 NFL seasons, Joseph has played in exactly 200 regular season games. In that time period, he started 186 games. In addition to his 31 interceptions, Joseph has ran for 638 yards on picks and seven touchdowns. He also has had 194 pass deflections, seven forced fumbles, six fumble recoveries for 145 yards and one touchdown, 755 combined tackles (642 solo tackles and 113 assisted tackles), 16 tackles for a loss and two quarterback hits.
In Joseph’s first two seasons with the Texans (2011 and 2012), he represented the Texans at the Pro Bowl and was named to the NFL’s All-Pro second team in 2011. In 2011, Joseph had four interceptions for 40 yards, 15 pass deflections, one forced fumble, 44 combined tackles (40 solo tackles and four assisted tackles), and two tackles for a loss. In 2012, Joseph had two interceptions for 88 yards and one touchdown, 10 pass deflections, 57 combined tackles (55 solo tackles and five assisted tackles).
Initially the first round draft pick, 24th overall by the Bengals in the 2006 NFL Draft, Joseph played his college football at the University of South Carolina. At age 36, Joseph is currently slated to backup Adoree’ Jackson of Belleville, Illinois at the right cornerback position in Tennessee.
