After the world’s best golfers had a tough test last weekend at Shinnecock, they will have a much easier time this weekend at TPC River Highlands in Hartford, Connecticut. The champions over the last three years have combined for a total score of -60. Here are the three golfers we like the most.
Keegan Bradley
In the last three Travelers Championships, Keegan Bradley of Woodstock, Vermont has won twice. In 2023, Bradley posted a winning score of -23, and in 2025, Bradley posted a winning score of -15. Bradley has won eight times on the PGA Tour, with his most notable win coming at the 2011 PGA Championship. At 40 years of age, you may be a little surprised that Bradley may be a contender. One primary reason is because he has regional support. Vermont is part of the New England region alongside Connecticut.
Justin Thomas
One primary reason why Thomas should be considered here is because of his recent consistency. The world number 17 has been in the top 25 in the last six events, and has been in the top 10 in Hartford in each of the last three years. The two-time PGA Championship winner last won on the PGA Tour a year ago when he won the RBC Heritage.
Collin Morikawa
It has been a topsy turvy season for the world number nine. He won at Pebble Beach and has five top-seven finishes in 2026, but he also has a 54th, 55th, 62nd, a missed cut in Hawaii and a withdrawal at the Players because of a back injury. If Morikawa continues to find the fairway, we could have great success this week.
