The second weekend of the 2026 FedEx Cup Playoffs are set to get underway this weekend at the Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis, Missouri. Here are the three golfers we like the most.
Scottie Scheffler
The world number one won his second PGA Tour event of 2026 last week in Memphis and was amazing at the FedEx St. Jude. He shot a winning score of -17, and beat his closest competitor, Si-Woo Kim of South Korea by eight strokes. The last time Scheffler won a PGA event by eight strokes was the 2025 CJ Cup Byron Nelson. After that victory last year in Dallas, Scheffler won five more times in 2025.
Justin Thomas
The world number 23 has had success at the Bellerive Country Club before. When the Missouri course hosted the 2019 PGA Championship, Thomas reached double figures and was tied for sixth at -10. The two-time major champion has had a very respectable season as he has made 15 consecutive cuts.
Gary Woodland
The world number 47 from Topeka, Kansas also was at -10 seven years ago when Bellerive hosted the 2019 PGA Championship. Even though Woodland has been dealing with a brain tumour over the last three years, he has delivered a remarkable story because he continues to play high caliber golf. His best result in 2026 was a victory at the Houston Open. Like Scheffler in Memphis, Woodland won comfortably as he posted winning score of -21 and won by five strokes.
