The Plunge’s Saturday Review: Horses You Must Follow From Gold Coast 15/1

We were treated to a great day of racing for Magic Millions day on the Gold Coast. Black booked runner King of Sparta was a dominant winner of the 3yo Guineas and takes our profit to over 35 units for the last 12 months. I’ve picked out a 2yo that may come out of the feature under the radar as my horse you must follow from the meeting.

The Plunge’s Service Results since December 2020:
  • +35.8 units of profit
  • 121 bets: 32 wins/40 placings

Russian Conquest – Gold Coast

  • Race 7
  • Distance: 1200m
  • Class: Listed

As many expected, Coolangatta was ultra impressive in taking out the 2yo Magic Millions feature. However, Russian Conquest’s ability to close off and easily second place 0.2L behind the short priced favourite should not be under valued. She was a couple of lengths behind Coolangatta at the turn and managed to close off nicely over the final 100m when the race was over on a day where it was tough to make ground on a track recording quick times.

When To Bet

She’ll go to the paddock now before the Snowden’s map out a Golden Slipper campaign. A lot what to go under the bridge in these 2yo races but she will definitely be one to keep any eye out for.
