The Plunge’s Black Book: Horses Running At Kembla 20/11

Lost and Running gave followers a reason to cheer in The Hunter last week. A local Gong favourite and a runner from the astute Hickman stable are the two black book runners running at Kembla tomorrow.

Kembla Race 6 – Travest

Travest found a spot in my black book after a terrific closing 2nd in this Midway grade over 1300m last start. The step up to 1400m looks a big bonus and trainer Greg Hickman suggested he will be much better for that 1st up run. I expect him to graduate to stronger Saturday races than this restricted grade. I think he will be peaking next start over 1600m but I can not be on in this against these Midway horses.

Tip: 2 Units Win Travest @$6 withTopSport.com.au

Kembla Race 8 – Count De Rupee

Local star Count De Rupee looks to have a class edge here similar to Hunter winner Lost and Running last week. Interestingly but also worryingly is the Price gelding will also have to do it from gate 17. His run in the Golden Eagle, where he was run down in the shadows of the post was outstanding. It will be great to see the Price team take our their cities biggest race with stable apprentice Brock Ryan on board.

Tip: 2 Units Win Count De Rupee @$4.2 withTopSport.com.au
