Goulburn Race 4

Rebel County

Third start here. Won last start over 1400 at Goulburn – Ran L600 6.3L quicker than class average. The step up to the mile will suit and Christian Reith retains the ride. Draws well and makes own luck on the speed. Progressive type who’ll run a big race, $4.2+ is a luxury.

Moralist

Going great this prep, Fit and stepping up in distance. Last start 2nd behind the smart Fox Fighter who’s been in career best form. The figures from there were very strong and set Moralist up nicely here. The very inform Dylan Gibbons saddles up and takes 3kg off. Barrier is the only negative here and may be forced to settle further back than is ideal. Happy taking him at that price despite.

Exotic Deel

Second up. Came back from a break nicely finishing 3rd, first up over 1200m. Doesn’t step up in distance Second Up this time. Got some Winkers on first time 3 starts back and they have seemed to sharpen her up a bit. She’s well placed here with Damon Budler in the saddle taking off 3kg and striking at 25% in his last 100 rides. Makes her own luck on the speed and we’ll take $6.5 everyday of the week.

Love Sick

Inform since stable switch and Blinkers came on for the first time. Enjoys a bit sting out of the ground. Matthew Palmer to do the steering and has rode her in a trial. Generally gets back in races but should enjoy some genuine speed here and should enjoy the long wide final bend here.

Carnival Miss

Simple reasoning here – Blinkers off first time last start, won and hit the line well over the 1200. That effort was backed up in the ratings recording a career best. Steps up to the 1400 and draws well and maps nicely. Nick Heywood in the saddle and no reason she can’t go back to back.
