Gatsby’s was sensational winning the Rosebud by 1.8L 1st up. That race fitness gives him the edge over the majority of his rivals here.
He maps to find a nice position 1-2 pairs back, which will be close enough to show his explosive turn of foot.

Value Selection: R1- Jack Duggan
Jack Duggan showed a win was coming 2 starts back when working home strongly after being held up only to go down by 1.3L over 1550m at Canterbury.
His last start 5th at Coffs Harbour is likely what the market is judging him off. That was the Ken Howard feature and he did miss the start and was forced to weave through the field making good late ground to finish 1.3L away. Whilst he hasn’t won over 1800m, he does have 3 wins over 1900m.
