According to Paul Kasabian of Bleacher Report on Sunday, the Los Angeles Rams traded cornerback Jalen Ramsey of Smyrna, Tennessee to the Miami Dolphins for a third round pick in the 2023 National Football League Draft (77th overall) and tight end Hunter Long of Exeter, New Hampshire. The Dolphins are the third team Ramsey has played for following four seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars from 2016 to 2019, and four seasons with the Rams from 2019 to 2022.
This past season, Ramsey had four interceptions for 53 yards, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery for 12 yards, two sacks, 88 combined tackles (64 solo tackles and 24 assisted tackles), four tackles for a loss and two quarterback hits. For his career, he has played in 108 games and has 19 interceptions for 208 yards and one touchdown, 92 pass deflections, six forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries for 20 yards, two sacks, 452 combined tackles (375 solo tackles, and 77 assisted tackles), 21 tackles for a loss, and five quarterback hits. Ramsey’s pick six came on Christmas Eve, 2016, in a 38-17 Jaguars win over the Tennessee Titans.
In 2017 and 2018, Ramsey was selected to the Pro Bowl while with the Jaguars. In 2019, he was chosen while sharing his time with the Jaguars and Rams. Then the last three seasons Ramsey was selected to the Pro Bowl while with the Rams. Also while with the Rams, Ramsey was part of the Los Angeles team that won Super Bowl LVI. He had four combined tackles (three solo tackles and one assisted tackle) and one pass deflection as the Rams beat the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20.

This is the second time in Ramsey’s career he was traded. On October 16, 2019 he was dealt by the Jaguars to the Rams for three draft picks (a first round pick in 2020, and a first and fourth round pick in 2021).
In two seasons, Long has one catch for eight yards in nine games. The eight yard catch came in a 2o-9 Dolphins win over the New York Giants on December 5, 2021.
