The Baker mare looks ready to peak 3rd up over 1550m. She had several runs close on her at vital stages before charging through the line in an unlucky 0.9L 3rd over 1400m at Randwick last start. She looks well placed dropping back to midweek company and picks up the services of J McDonald jumping from Gate 2.

Value Selection: R5 – Raskol
The Russian Revolution filly started a short-priced favourite on debut at Gosford and was slow out of the gates over 1000m. The market was cautious with her at Canterbury at her 2nd start before pinging the gates to settle behind the leader. She was held up on heels for a crucial 400m but when the run came at the 150m she exploded to score a 0.7L victory. With clear running she wins by much more. She ran 0.48s quicker than the colts and geldings maiden that opened the card. She looks capable of stringing wins together.Â
