Racing Review: Don’t Think About It He’s A Star
June 14, 2023
THINK ABOUT IT joined the conversation as a candidate to be Australia’s best horse when he made it seven wins in a row and nine from ten starts with his hollow Victory in the Stradbroke Handicap.
If anything the four-year-old son of So You Think looks to be improving with every start and he will be able to go over a distance longer than 1400 metres.
In years gone by Think About It’s likely spring campaign would be to target the Epsom Handicap and then head to Cox Plate.
Not these days though. The Joe Pride trained galloper will head to The Everest in what will be a face-off with Giga Kick and I Wish I Win as to who takes Anamoe’s crown as Australia’s best racehorse. There’s been good editions of The Everest but this could be the best yet.
Think About It could head to Melbourne for the Champions Mile on the final day of the Flemington carnival.
There is a slight possibility one of that trio could defeat Anamoe for the 2022-23 Australian Racehorse Of The Year title but they are likely to battle out the second, third and fourth spots.
TopSport has installed Giga Kick as a $3.50 favourite for The Everest with I Wish I win at $5 and Think About It at $6.
The other impressive winner from Eagle Farm who is likely to have a big presence in the spring is the former talented English galloper Without A Fight.
Anthony and Sam Freedman have trained him to settle in his races and then produce a pulverising sprint home which is an ideal style for a Cox Plate.
TopSport installed him as a $8 second favourite with Dubai Honor $5.50 favourite.
