The G2 Chelmsford Stakes headlines a massive day of racing at Randwick on Saturday. Our analyst has picked out a Waller stalwart that was 0.3L 3rd behind Via Sistina and Fangirl over the same track/distance in the autumn and a Snowden filly going under the radar at massive odds as the value play.Â
Best Selection: R7- Lindermann
Lindermann looks way over the odds in this year’s Chelmsford. Totally forgive his 1st up run in the G1 Winx as he hasn’t run top 3 in 6 Heavy track starts now. He was 0.3L 3rd behind Via Sistina and Fangirl 2nd up over this track/distance in the Verry Elleegant in the autumn and could get full control on top of the speed. He looks a little overlooked in this race at double figure odds.
Value Selection: R6- Akaysha
Akaysha looks well over the odds returning from a spell in the G2 Furious. The barrier was the only thing that cost the Snowden filly in the Listed Woodland Stakes at Scone back in May. She jumped fairly but was forced to settle back towards the rear to find cover before rattling home strongly to finish 1.4L 3rd with her final 600m sectional of 33.46 being the quickest of the race. She closed off nicely in a recent Rosehill trial and looks set to run well at massive odds.
