Randwick hosts the first Sydney Saturday meeting of 2026. Our analyst likes a pair of Baker runners; one that looks well suited to getting to the Randwick 1400m 2nd up and a newcomer to the stable that has been trialling the house down as the value play.
View our best selection and value play below.
Best Selection: R6- Unleeshing
The Baker mare looks ready to rock and roll 2nd up over 1400m. Her 0.8L 3rd over 1200m at Warwick Farm 1st up may not read outstanding but she was really was only just working through her gears the final 100m in an on-speed dominated race. She was 1.1L 2nd to Private Harry in BM72 company when 2nd up last prep in December of late year and is perfectly drawn in Gate 3.

Value Selection: R9- Monte Supreme
The Ex Robert & Luke Price mare looks great value after recording an eye-catching 1.4L 793m trial win for her new Baker yard. She settled 1 pair back and showed a quick turn of foot to find the lead by the 150m before cruising away for the win under hands and heels riding. She was a 0.5L winner of a Rosehill trial prior and looks ready to perform 1st up.
