According to Dan Giorlamo of The Sports Daily on Friday, Phoenix, Arizona will host the 2027 National Basketball Association All-Star Game. The game will take place at the Footprint Center, which is the home stadium of the Phoenix Suns, on February 21, 2027.
This will be the fourth time ever that Phoenix will be hosting the NBA All-Star Game. They previously hosted the game in 1975, 1995, and 2009. The NBA All-Star Game most valuable players when the game had been in Phoenix in the past have been New York Knicks point guard Walt Frazier of Atlanta, Georgia, Sacramento Kings shooting guard Mitch Richmond of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard Kobe Bryant of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Phoenix Suns center Shaquille O’Neal of Newark, New Jersey. When Phoenix hosted the 2009 NBA All-Star Game, Bryant and O’Neal were co-MVPs.
The Suns are currently at 37 wins and 26 losses. They are in sixth place in the Western Conference. There were two Suns who played in the 2024 NBA All-Star Game in Indianapolis, Indiana. They were forward Kevin Durant of Washington, District of Columbia and guard Devin Booker of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Durant, who was a starter, was in his 14th NBA All-Star Game, and Booker was in his fourth NBA All-Star Game. There was only one All-Star who played in the game that has had more All-Star appearances than Durant. That was LeBron James, who has 20 All-Star Game appearances in his amazing NBA career.
The 2025 NBA All-Star Game will be in San Francisco. The 2026 NBA All-Star Game will be in Los Angeles.Â
