Penrith have signed former South Sydney forward Liam Le Blanc on a one-year deal for the 2027 NRL season.
The Panthers confirmed the signing on Thursday in an official club announcement, with the 22-year-old joining Penrith’s Top 30 squad.
The club described Le Blanc as a hard-working middle forward known for his defence. He has played 27 NRL games since making his debut for the Rabbitohs in 2024.
Le Blanc grew up in Queensland and represented the Australian Schoolboys in 2022 before reaching first grade at Souths.
What Penrith said
Panthers rugby league general manager Shane Elford welcomed the signing.
“Liam is an exciting addition to our squad, with the potential to develop his game within our system,” Elford said.
“He also brings valuable experience and competition to our pack, and we look forward to seeing what he can contribute to Panthers.”

A fresh start at the foot of the mountains
Zero Tackle reported that Le Blanc had been told he would not stay at the Rabbitohs beyond the 2026 season, and that he played six NRL games this year.
The move adds depth to a Penrith pack that lost premiership winners Liam Henry and Scott Sorensen to the Perth Bears, two of six departures the club confirmed earlier this month.
The signing lands days before the NRL free agency window opens on Sunday, 1 November.
