Our three best tips of the 2023 Genesis Invitational

The 2023 Genesis Invitational kicks off on Thursday from southern California. While there will be significant focus on the golfers at the top of the leaderboard, many will also keep an eye on Tiger Woods. Here are the golfers we like the most this week.
1) Jon Rahm
It was been a fixture every week, but we just love Rahm’s overall consistency at the moment. In his last nine starts worldwide, he has been in the top eight in every tournament. That includes wins at the Sentry Tournament of Champions and The American Express. If this consistency continues, it will be just a matter of time, before he leapfrogs Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy from number three to number one.

2) Rory McIlroy
Don’t be surprised if McIlroy plays with a little bit of an edge this week, as on Sunday he lost the world number one ranking to Scheffler when Scheffler defended his title at the 2023 Waste Management Phoenix Open. McIlroy’s lone win in 2023 date came at the Dubai Desert Classic on the European PGA Tour (now called the DP World Tour). There McIlroy shot a four-round score of -19 to beat American Patrick Reed by a stroke.

3) Scottie Scheffler
One thing we know about Scheffler is he is streaky. Prior to his Masters win last April, the native of Ridgewood, New Jersey won at the Phoenix Open, the Arnold Palmer Invitational, and World Matchplay Championships. Let’s see what happens after his win in Phoenix from Sunday.
