Well folks, we were right a week ago with Cameron Smith at the British Open. Now it is time for the world’s best golfers to return to the United States and compete at the 3M Open in Minnesota. Here are our three best bets for the week. Keep in mind we have chosen players who did not compete at St. Andrews this past weekend, as those golfers who were at the British Open need to get some time adjusted to the six hour time difference.
1) Maverick McNealy
The son of the co-founder of Sun Microsystems, Maverick McNealy has finished in the top 16 in the last three PGA events he has entered. The native of Portola Valley, California was eighth at the John Deere Classic, 16th at the Scottish Open, and ninth at the Barracuda Championship. McNealy also finished in the top 10 this year at the Genesis Invitational, where he was seventh.

2) Adam Hadwin
The native of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan will look to bounce back after missing the cut at the John Deere Classic. Prior to that missed cut, the Canadian has had four top 10 finishes this year–ninth at the Players Championship, seventh at the Valspar Championship, fourth at the Valero Texas Open, and seventh at the United States Open. This was Hadwin’s first top 20 result in his career at a major.

3) Davis Riley
The native of Hattiesburg, Mississippi finished an impressive 13th at the PGA Championship earlier this year. Like Hadwin, Riley has four top 10 finishes on the PGA Tour this year–second at the Valspar Championship, fifth at the Mexico Open, ninth at the Byron Nelson and fourth at the Charles Schwab Challenge.
