The PGA Tour now moves from the West Coast to the East Coast, as Palm Beach Gardens, Florida is set to host the 2026 Cognizant Classic. Here are the three golfers we like this week the most.
Nicolai Hojgaard
The 24-year-old native from Billund, Denmark, may be 55th in the world, but has three top five finishes in his last six appearances. He was third in Abu Dhabi, fourth in Dubai, and third in Phoenix. Hojgaard was also on the European team that won the 2023 Ryder Cup.
Ben Griffin
The world number 11 also has his game in high gear at the moment. Ben Griffin of Chapel Hill, North Carolina has made the cut in 12 straight tournaments since missing the cut at the 2025 British Open. In that time Griffin has won one tournament. It came at the 2025 World Wide Technology Championship in Los Cabos, Mexico. Griffin posted a tremendous four round  score of  -29.
Shane Lowry
We definitely like this major champion to be a contender. Why? Well, it is because the world number 31 came very close to winning the 2022 Cognizant Classic (at the time known as the Honda Classic) before losing to Austrian golf star Sepp Straka. Four years ago, Lowry had a four round score of -9, but came one birdie short.
Lowry is a major champion from the past. The native of Dublin, Ireland had a sensational score of -15, and beat England’s Tommy Fleetwood by six strokes at the 2019 British Open. Lowry also had a notable shot at the 2025 Ryder Cup in winning the title for Team Europe.
