The Denver Nuggets have a commanding three games to none series lead over the Los Angeles Lakers. On Saturday night at crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California, Canadian Jamal Murray of Kitchener, Ontario led the Nuggets in scoring with 37 points in a 119-108 Denver game three win.
Five Nuggets reached double digits in scoring. In addition to Murray, two-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic of Sombor, Serbia had 24 points, shooting guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope of Thomaston, Georgia had 17 points, while forwards Bruce Brown Jr. of Boston, Massachusetts and Michael Porter Jr. of Columbia, Missouri also reached multiple figures in points. Brown Jr. had 15 points off the bench, while Porter Jr. had 14 points. In fact Porter Jr. was the only Nugget to record a double-double as he had 10 rebounds.
The Nuggets won without a double-double or triple-double for Jokic. He had eight assists and six rebounds. Jokic has the NBA record for most postseason triple doubles by a center in NBA history with 13.

The chances of the Nuggets winning the series is strong. Never before in NBA playoff history has a team came back from a 3-0 series deficit to win the series. Â According to ESPN, the Lakers have never won a playoff game in the history of the franchise when they have been down 3-0. In this scenario, the Lakers have a record of zero wins and eight losses. It is the most losses without a win by any team in the NBA ever.
Game four is Monday night. With a win, the Nuggets will be in their first NBA Finals in franchise history.
