NRL Round 14 Preview: Our Selections & Staking Plan

Our service picked up 5 units of profit last week and we’re excited about the value on offer this week & have even included a 3 leg multi @ $6.80.

Tipping Results (Started In Round 8) :

The upcoming round looks to be another opportunity to hit the bookies & make a solid profit with plenty of value on offer.

Game of the round has to be Thursday’s matchup between the Storm & Roosters which is always a blockbuster.

Let’s take a look at round 14 below.

SYDNEY ROOSTERS VS MELBOURNE STORM – THURSDAY AUGUST 13, 7:50PM, SCG

A costly penalty in extra time helped the Storm to a two-point win over the Roosters when these two sides last met back in Round 8.

The Roosters have done it tough ever since through injury, but they’ve done extremely well to win three games in a row to remain in the top four.

The Storm, on the other hand, have put together a tidy winning streak themselves.

After dismantling the Bulldogs last week, Melbourne has now won each of their last seven games, but it appears that still isn’t enough to sway the bookies which is fine by us because we’re very keen on the Storm with the line here.

NEW ZEALAND WARRIORS VS PENRITH PANTHERS – FRIDAY AUGUST 14, 6:00PM, CENTRAL COAST STADIUM

The Panthers blew Canberra away on Saturday night with a 24-0 first-half blitz thanks to stellar performances across the park from the likes of Nathan Cleary, Apisai Koroisau, Viliame Kikau, Jarome Luai, Stephen Crichton, Isaah Yeo and Josh Mansour.

The Warriors have been forced to negotiate a nightmare 2020 season but the gloom has begun to lift recently, a two-game winning streak nudging them to within four points of the eight in 11th spot.

PARRAMATTA EELS VS ST GEORGE ILLAWARRA DRAGONS – FRIDAY AUGUST 14, 7:55PM, BANKWEST STADIUM

The Dragons are playing great footy in patches but can’t seem to hold it together for a full 80 minutes which is seeing their season slowly run down the drain.

McGregor’s men have also lost three straight to the Eels dating back to 2018, so it’s safe to say this is a must-win game for St George with the finals right around the corner.

The Eels could potentially reclaim the top of the table if results go their way this week, while head coach Brad Arthur has to be pleased with his sides gutsy effort last week against the Sharks in horrible conditions.

CRONULLA SHARKS VS GOLD COAST TITANS – SATURDAY AUGUST 15,3PM, NESTRATA JUBILEE STADIUM

The Sharks went down fighting against Parramatta in atrocious conditions last week but have a great opportunity to bounce back here.

The Titans also put their best foot forward last week to become the top team in Queensland with a 30-10 victory over the Cowboys.

Gold Coast have proven themselves a handful at times this year, so the Sharks will need to be wary on Saturday afternoon.

CANBERRA RAIDERS VS BRISBANE BRONCOS – SATURDAY AUGUST 15, 7:35PM, GIO STADIUM

The Raiders will be looking to overturn a tough couple of weeks with a win over a struggling Broncos here.

Canberra put in a brave first-half effort last week against the Panthers but were ultimately run off their feet in the end.

The Broncos, meanwhile, came up short to the Rabbitohs in their fourth straight loss and will now have to overcome the absence of Anthony Seibold, who attends to family matters down in Sydney.

NEWCASTLE KNIGHTS VS MANLY SEA EAGLES – SUNDAY AUGUST 16, 2:00PM, MCDONALD JONES STADIUM

Newcastle are in great shape to record their first back-to-back victories since the opening two rounds of the season against a Sea Eagles side grievously short on troops and luck.

The Knights monstered Wests Tigers 44-4 at home last round and while Kalyn Ponga grabbed the headlines Newcastle turned in a complete team display that should have them pretty confident of a repeat performance on Sunday.

Manly, on the other hand, added starting props Addin Fonua-Blake and Marty Taupau to an already crowded injury ward after falling to 2-5 in their past seven outings, a run that has seen them slide to ninth on the table.
