Eight more offensive players in NFL to change teams in free agency
March 23, 2021
Players continue to change teams in National Football League free agency. Here are eight more players who have switched teams. These eight are offensive players (running backs, wide receivers and tight ends) who might have impact when it comes to developing your fantasy football rankings in 2021.
8) Carlos Hyde–The 30-year-old from Naples, Florida signed a two-year deal worth $6 million with the Jacksonville Jaguars last week. Hyde has previously played with the San Francisco 49ers, Cleveland Browns, Jacksonville Jaguars, Houston Texans and Seattle Seahawks. Last season, Hyde had 81 rushes for 356 yards and four touchdowns, along with 16 catches for 93 yards with the Seahawks. In Jacksonville, Hyde will provide the Jaguars insurance at the running back position in case anything happens to James Robinson, who had a marvelous 2020.
7) Philip Lindsay–The 26-year-old from Denver, Colorado is leaving his native state and the Broncos organization after three seasons to join the Houston Texans on a one-year-deal worth $3.25 million. Last year in Denver, Lindsay had 118 rushes for 502 yards and one touchdown, along with seven catches for 28 yards. In Houston, Lindsay will join a Texans team that also has running backs David Johnson and Mark Ingram II.
6) Keenan Cole–The 27-year-old native of Louisville, Kentucky, signed a one-year deal worth $5.5 million with the New York Jets. Last year in Jacksonville, he caught 55 passes for 642 yards and five touchdowns. Cole becomes one of two wide receivers the Jets have signed in free agency. The other is Corey Davis from the Tennessee Titans.Â
4) Gerald Everett–The 26-year-old from Atlanta signed a one-year contract worth $6 million with the Seattle Seahawks. Last season with the Los Angeles Rams, the veteran tight end had 41 catches for 417 yards and one touchdown. He is set to replace Greg Olsen, who retired during the week of the conference championships.
4) Jared Cook–The 33-year-old from Birmingham, Alabama signed a one-year deal worth $6 million with the Los Angeles Chargers. Last season with the New Orleans Saints, Cook had 37 catches for 504 yards and seven touchdowns. He has become a very reliable tight end in recent years and is set to replace Hunter Henry in the Chargers offense. Henry signed as a free agent with the New England Patriots. In addition to the Saints, Cook has played for the Tennessee Titans, St. Louis Rams, Green Bay Packers, and Oakland Raiders.
3) Kyle Rudolph–In keeping with the tight end theme, the New York Giants signed Kyle Rudolph of Cincinnati, Ohio to a two-year deal worth $14 million. Rudolph has spent his entire 10-year career with the Minnesota Vikings and was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2012 and 2017. Last year he caught 28 passes for 334 yards and one touchdown.

2) Kenyan Drake–The Las Vegas Raiders have developed competition at the running back position with the signing of Kenyan Drake of Powder Springs, Georgia to a two-year deal worth $14.5 million. Drake had 239 rushes for 955 yards, and 10 touchdowns in his first full season in Arizona after four seasons with the Miami Dolphins. He also had 25 catches for 137 yards. It will now be interesting to see who starts at running back in Vegas, as Josh Jacobs is also in the mix.
1) Kenny Golladay–In the biggest signing on the weekend, the New York Giants have signed wide receiver Kenny Golladay of Chicago, Illinois to a four-year deal worth $72 million. The former Detroit Lions receiver led the NFL with 11 touchdown catches in 2019, and was selected to the Pro Bowl. Last season, he had 20 catches for 338 yards and only two touchdowns in five games before suffering a season-ending hip injury.
