The eighth week of the 2022 National Football League regular season commences on Thursday with the Baltimore Ravens playing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Despite being 3-4 and below .500, the Buccaneers are in first place in the NFC South.
Key Injuries
From week seven, two notable players suffered season-ending injuries. They were New York Jets running back Breece Hall, and Los Angeles Chargers cornerback J.C. Jackson. Hall tore his anterior cruciate ligament and injured his meniscus in a 16-9 New York loss to the Denver Broncos. Jackson ruptured his patellar tendon in a 37-23 Chargers loss to the Seattle Seahawks. With the loss of Hall, the Jets went out and made a trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars, where they acquired running back James Robinson for a conditional sixth round draft pick.

After a week seven bye, Josh Allen should be very fresh when the Buffalo Bills  host the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night. Allen is projected to get 303 yards passing, 31 yards rushing and two touchdown passes.
The top projected wide receiver is Tyreek Hill of the Miami Dolphins. Hill’s projections against the Detroit Lions are seven catches for 99 yards and one touchdown. The top projected running back is Derrick Henry of the Tennessee Titans. Against the Houston Texans, Henry’s early projections are 20 rushes for 86 yards, and one touchdown, along with two catches for 15 yards.

Possible Upset
I like one upset this week. Yes the Rams are 1.5 point underdogs against the San Francisco 49ers, but you would expect sometime they look like the Super Bowl champions from a year ago. Maybe, just maybe, it is this week.
