The 15th week is upon us in the National Football League. For many, it is the first week of Fantasy Football playoffs. Here are the key injuries, difference makers and projected upsets.
Key Injuries
The most notable injury last weekend came in Los Angeles as Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert broke his right index finger after receiving a hit from Zach Allen of the Denver Broncos. He is out for the season due to scheduled surgery. In addition to Herbert, the Chargers will not have their star wide receiver Keenan Allen on Thursday night against the Las Vegas Raiders due to a heel injury.
Another injury situation I am watching closely is in Indianapolis where Jonathan Taylor is still out with a broken thumb. At the beginning of the injury, Taylor was listed to be out three to five weeks. If he plays Saturday against the Pittsburgh Steelers, he will return after two weeks and six days. That is why he has the doubtful tag next to his name.
Difference Makers
The top rated quarterback is Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills. The Firebaugh, California native is projected to get 266 passing yards, 33 rushing yards and two touchdowns against the Dallas Cowboys.
The top rated running back is Christian McCaffrey of the San Francisco 49ers. The Castle Rock, Colorado native is projected to get 91 rushing yards, 34 receiving yards and one touchdown against the Arizona Cardinals.
The top rated wide receiver is A.J. Brown of the Philadelphia Eagles. The Starkville, Mississippi native is projected to get five catches for 81 yards and one touchdown against the Seattle Seahawks on Monday.
Projected Upsets
There are four upsets I like this week. The underdogs I like are the Denver Broncos, Dallas Cowboys, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Houston Texans. There were nine upsets last week, so you cannot completely trust the line when picking games.
