NBA Preview: March 3
March 4, 2023
We now head into the month of March with 10 games on the slate. Here are the three teams I like the most.
Portland Trail Blazers @ Atlanta Hawks–7:30 pm ET
The Trail Blazers are 12th in the West at 29 wins and 33 losses. The Hawks are eighth in the East at 31 wins and 31 losses.
My Take:
Ever since the Hawks fired Nate McMillan as their head coach on February 21, they have a record of two wins and one loss. Now with Quin Snyder in charge, the Hawks will try to beat a Portland team that is 12-18 on the road. Take the Hawks at +7 and the under at 241. The Trail Blazers are involved in games that average 230 points per game.

The Suns are in fourth place in the West at 34 wins and 29 losses. The Bulls are 11th in the East at 29 wins and 34 losses.
My Take:
There is no doubt that the Suns went all in for the season when they acquired Kevin Durant from the Brooklyn Nets. On Wednesday, Durant made his Suns debut as he scored 23 points in a 105-91 Phoenix win in Charlotte. With Durant joining forces with Chris Paul and Devin Booker, the Suns have a tough Big Three that the Nets were trying to create. Where Durant also has an impact is with defense. He has 7.1 rebounds per game in his career, and 1.5 blocks per game this season. Take the under at 222.5.

Minnesota Timberwolves @ Los Angeles Lakers–10:30 PM ET
The Timberwolves are eighth in the West at 32 wins and 32 losses. The Lakers are 11th in the West at 30 wins and 33 losses.
My Take:
Any way you look at it, no LeBron is a problem for the Lakers. Take Minnesota at +1 and the over at 228. The Lakers will struggle on defense without their leader too. Join Our Championships Competition Members Can View Hub Here
