From a statistical perspective, it is simply stunning that the Minnesota Vikings have a record of 10 wins and three losses. Why? Well, despite the fact Minnesota is seven games above the .500 mark, they in fact have a points for and against ratio of -1.
The above paragraph is not a misprint. In Minnesota’s 10 wins, they have won by a combined total of 64 points. They have outscored their opponents 279-215. In Minnesota’s three losses, they have lost by a combined total of 65 points. They have been outscored by their opponents 98-33.

Minnesota is in first place in the NFC North simply because they have found a way to win games. Of their 10 wins, the Vikings won nine of the contests by eight points or less. Meanwhile, they have been completely clobbered in two of their three losses. Minnesota was given a beatdown by Philadelphia on September 19 in a 24-7 loss, and then got completely destroyed on November 20 in a 40-3 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. In the 37-point loss to the Cowboys in Minnesota, Kirk Cousins only had 105 passing yards.
In the last four games of the 2022 NFL regular season, Minnesota plays host to the Indianapolis Colts and New York Giants, before finishing the year on the road, where they have two games in Green Bay and Chicago. It should just be a matter of time before the Vikings win the NFC North, as they are leading the second place Detroit Lions by four full games.
