Lay Of The Day: 5 Horses We Think You Should Lay At Rosehill & Pakenham 3/12

PAKENHAM RACE 7 –  MILFORD

• Barrier: 7

He’s going to find this a vastly different scenario to his win last week in the Eclipse Stakes. Firstly he’s up 700 metres in distance and rises 1.5 kilos. He has to give weight to some handy stayers as well

PAKENHAM RACE 8 –  LOOKS LIKE ELVIS

• Barrier: 3
• Price: $4.00 @ Betfair

Veteran galloper who rarely puts a foot wrong. He just got home first-up last time in and he rises three kilos on that effort.

PAKENHAM RACE 9 –  CHICAGO BEAR

• Trainer: N DOYLE
• Jockey: B SHINN
• Barrier: 2
• Price: $4.10 @ Betfair

Played up at the barrier at his Australian debut and then was held up for a run and raced greenly in the closing stages. He’s obviously talented but he’s drawn in which may not be the place to be at the end of the day.

ROSEHILL RACE 4 – FRUMOS

• Jockey: K MCEVOY
• Barrier: 1
• Price: $2.76 @ Betfair

She might be a rising star but her racing style isn’t necessarily suited to Rosehill as she proved with her only two Australian defeats at her last two runs before she went for a spell. From barrier one she’ll need some breaks.

ROSEHILL RACE 6 – ZOUMON

• Trainer: WATERHOUSE & BOTT
• Jockey: J PARR
• Barrier: 9
• Price: $4.20 @ Betfair

He had little trouble leading throughout to win at Moonee Valley last start but he was against moderate horses on a track which played to on-pacers. There’s more depth in his opposition on this occasion.
