Nets reds hot with Jacque Vaughn as coach
December 30, 2022
It appears a coaching change for the Brooklyn Nets in 2022-23 was the right move for the organization to make. When the Nets fired Steve Nash on November 1, and replaced him with Jacque Vaughn, the Nets had a record of two wins and five losses.
In 28 games with Vaughn in charge, Brooklyn has a record of 21 wins and seven losses for an impressive winning percentage of .750. In the month of December, the Nets have a record of 12 wins and one loss, including a 10 game winning streak, which is the longest current streak in the entire NBA. Their only loss came on December 4, when they were beaten 103-92 to the Boston Celtics.

During the streak, the Nets have beaten the Charlotte Hornets 122-116 on December 7, the Atlanta Hawks 120-116 on December 9, the Indiana Pacers 136-133 on December 10, the Washington Wizards 112-100 on December 12, the Toronto Raptors 119-116 on December 16, the Detroit Pistons 124-121 on December 18, the Golden State Warriors 143-113 on December 21, the Milwaukee Bucks 118-100 on December 23, the Cleveland Cavaliers 125-117 on Boxing Day, and the Hawks 108-107 on Wednesday. In the Nets’ win over the Pacers, Brooklyn won without Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. Cam Thomas of Yokosuka, Japan was their leading scorer with 33 points off the bench. Kevin Durant of Washington, DC has had the most impressive performance during the streak as he had 43 points in their win over the Pistons.
Brooklyn is currently in second place in the Eastern Conference. The Celtics are the current leaders with a record of 25 wins and 10 losses. In fact, the Nets have the second best record in the entire NBA. How many wins do you think Brooklyn will have during the streak? I think it will be 13. Tell us what you think in the comments below.
