Eagles trade wide receiver Jalen Reagor to the Vikings
September 2, 2022
The Minnesota Vikings have been very busy when it comes to making trades this week. On Tuesday, they acquired defensive tackle Ross Blacklock from the Houston Texans and acquired a seventh round draft pick from the Pittsburgh Steelers for guard Jesse Davis. Then on Wednesday, the Vikings attempted to improve their offense by acquiring wide receiver Jalen Reagor of Waxahachie, Texas from the Philadelphia Eagles for a fourth round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and a seventh round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Reagor has played two seasons with the Eagles. This past season he had 33 catches for 299 yards and two touchdowns. Reagor’s touchdowns came in a 32-6 Eagles win over the Atlanta Falcons on September 12 and in a 33-22 Eagles loss to the Las Vegas Raiders on October 24.

In Reagor’s two NFL seasons he has 64 catches for 695 yards and three touchdowns. He was Philadelphia’s first round draft pick, 20th overall out of Texas Christian University. While with the Horned Frogs, Reagor was the 2017 Big 12 Offensive Freshman of the Year. He had 33 catches for 576 yards and eight touchdowns. Then in 2018 and 2019, Reagor was selected to the Big 12 Second-Team. In 2018, Reagor had 72 catches for 1061 yards and nine touchdowns, and in 2019, he had 43 catches for 611 yards and five touchdowns.
The Vikings have a great receiving group led by Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen. Jefferson had 108 catches for 1616 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2021. Thielen had 67 catches for 726 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2021. Minnesota needed another receiver when Bisi Johnson went on the injury list with an ACL injury on Monday.
